Community Manager

As a Community Manager you will work with a project’s community of players as well as the publishing and development teams to promote, grow, monitor, and interface with the game’s community. The ideal candidate will have previous proven experience with console or mobile games and community management principles, be self-motivated, level-headed, and socially adept. Fluency in Spanish (preferably) or other languages is a big plus as Neowiz seeks to represent a diverse audience in North/South America and Europe.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage social media channels for the project you represent (e.g. Discord, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube)

  • Create, manage, maintain, and grow the project’s partner program consisting of channel  moderators, content creators, wiki managers, and top level players

  • Actively “listen”, respond and participate with the community on social media channels and Discord

  • Gather feedback from the community for the game and its programs/events, sharing results with larger audiences at Neowiz and be a passionate advocate for the community

  • Create documentation and weekly reports based on social media results, community events, trends and influencer activities

  • Work with our creative team to generate content aimed at community for social channels

  • Suggest and run in and out of game events for the community

  • Research other relevant games or interest communities and suggest other collaboration ideas to champion the game

 

Qualifications

  • Be able to learn quickly on the job and adapt to new tasks and situations

  • Have an established understanding of community engagement and the gaming industry, with previous experience preferred

  • Have a desire to manage communities for mobile games or other platforms emphasizing free-to-play games-as-a-service

  • Have previous experience with partner programs or otherwise actively interfacing with players, influencers, and moderators of the community

  • Be familiar with a variety of social platforms including Discord, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc

  • Be able to work well in a team setting, taking and giving feedback in a constructive, tactful, and receptive manner

  • Be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, calm under pressure, and socially adept

  • Be able to plan ahead, set goals, and prioritize

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multilingual (Spanish Preferred)

  • Previous experience managing gaming communities

  • Degree in English, Communications, PR, Marketing or similar field
